Soil Systems ABC-Forage is a development of Soil Systems original ABC. It is used as a silage inoculant and results in a better quality of feed. Basic benefits are:
| | ABC-Forage micro-organisms can effectively exclude unwanted species by vigorously competing for resources, un ultimately removing resources needed for unwanted or pathogenic bacteria to flourish. Examples of species that ABC-Forage can control include Clostridium and Listeria. Reduced levels of Listeria can reduce occurrences of mastitis, meningitis and septicaemia, while reduced levels of Clostridium can reduce Botulism.

However, the benefits of ABC-Forage do not stop there. The microbes in ABC-Forage will actively help to improve the digestive health of your herd. ABC-Forage microbes can competetively exclude pathogenic bacteria from the gut of cattle, and can also reduce pathogenic bacteria in their muck. Levels of mastitis can be reduced, and you will notice that the muck in the yard and in the heap will smell less.
